The Tanzanian Government recognized the importance of the Disability issue in the Country through the Disability Act, 2010. It actively participated in the development of a Situation Analysis on Rehabilitation services in Tanzania.
Currently, it supports INUKA Southern Highland CBR providing part of the human resources of the program.
SOLIDALI NEL MONDO
It’s an Italian charity, based in Rome. Its mission is to build networks of solidarity between citizens and communities of the South and the North countries of the world. In Tanzania the organization focuses on sustaining actions in favor of orphans and disabled children and youths. In particular, it organizes fundraising events and collects contributions to be entirely donated to INUKA Southern Highland CBR activities.
CESC Project is an Italian organization established in 2000 with its head-office in Rome. The organization operates in order to respond to people’s most urgent needs in four main fields: assistance, education, culture and environment. The organization operates worldwide through the National Civil Service Program, funded by the Italian Government. Cesc Projects partners with INUKA Southern Highland CBR implementing projects oriented to give sustainability to health and rehabilitation services and through the National Civil Service program. It’s an Italian association founded in Rome by fomer volunteers of the Civil Service projects, promoted by CESC Project in Africa e South America. In Tanzania, GONDWANA started the planning and coordination of the projects, which nowadays are managed and monitored by local coordinators in collaboration with the Italian representatives. GONDWANA is the project leader of “ INUKA – Alza la Testa!”, “ SIMAMA – In Piedi!” and “ TALITA KUM”. GONDWANA has also affiliated offices in Trento, Bolzano and Wanging’ombe (Tanzania). ITALIAN PROVINCE OF TRENTO
The Trentino Regional Department of International Cooperation is one of the main donors of the project “INUKA – Alza la Testa!” developed from 2008 to 2015. This project contributed to the official constitution of INUKA SOUTHERN HIGHLAND CBR.
Hakuna Matata is a charity founded in April 2010 by Anna and Davide Serra. Its mission is to develop long-term financial support to several projects in the Southern Region of Tanzania. Among these, the organization supports INUKA Southern Highland CBR by providing funds and expert advise to Income Generating Activities.
ROTARY DOCTOR BANK OF FINLAND
RDBF was founded with the objective to support medical services in Tanzania. Since 2012 the organization supports INUKA Southern Highland CBR improving standard of life of many disabled patients, through two experts visiting the rehabilitation center and training its staff. Furthermore, the RDBF contributed to upgrade the Orthopedic Workshop funding machinery and material.
Spinor OY is a finnish workshop owned by Juha Hyvönen is an orthopedic technologist with years of experience and specialized in orthosis. The company supports INUKA Southern Highland CBR gaving important support in the starting up of the Orthopedic Workshop. Juha trained Tanzanian staff and provided machinery, tools and material. Thanks to its contribution INUKA Orthopedic Workshop is now operative in the production of high quality of orthesis.
NJOMBE DEVELOPMENT OFFICE – ROMAN CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF NJOMBE
It is a no-profit organization located in Njombe Region that collaborates with INUKA Southern Highland CBR. It is committed to sustain with maximum efficiency INUKA CBR services and projects, focusing on empowering marginalized and most disadvantaged groups in the community.
Miraclefeet is an organization with the aim to increase access to proper treatment for children born with clubfoot in developing countries. Recently, it launched also a partnership with INUKA Southern Highland CBR, providing materials and training to improve the quality of INUKA Clubfoot Clinic.
