Overview

INUKA SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS CBR works to improve the life of children and adults with disabilities and all other patients with rehabilitation needs in Southern Tanzania.

The hospital provides high quality health and rehabilitation services through a specialized and multidisciplinary team.

Our aim is to take care of our patients comprehensively, developing individual care pathways.

Our services are provided at the hospital premises and in the communities through an outreach program and using a cbr approach.

Who We Are

INUKA Southern Highlands CBR is a Rehabilitation Hospital with the aim to provide high quality services to people with disabilities and other patients with rehabilitation needs, involving their families and the communities they are linving in. Main area of intervention is Tanzania Southern Highlands area.

Head office of the project is in Wanging’ombe (Njombe Region), on the main road to Mbeya. In the compound of the Rehabilitation Hospital there is also an Hostelin order to accommodate the patients and their family members.

There is also a coordination office for the Outreach Program wich assists more than 300 disabled children.

Services

At Inuka Rehabilitation Hospital every patient is considered and treated with his individual needs. An individual rehabilitation plan is developed for each patient in cooperation with the patient and its caregivers.

The services provided at Inuka Rehabilitation Department are: physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychological and nutritional counselling, production and delivery of assistive devices.
